Here we are, Thanksgiving week, let’s take a little time to embrace gratitude. Gratitude is the basis for manifestation because whatever we focus on, expands. Six months ago, I was in the hospital with terrible back pain. These days, I’m pretty much recovered, as long as I am careful about how I move, and I remember that the combination of bending/lifting/twisting will put me back in bed on an ice pack. I am so grateful every time I accomplish something, because I know I couldn’t do much six months ago. Our setbacks remind us how vulnerable we are. Our recoveries are miracles. Whether it’s health, financial, or a family matter, we can celebrate our improved circumstances. Take a moment to sit in meditation, breathe in the white light of universal love, expand your consciousness, talk to your angels and Guides, and connect with your heart’s desire. Focus on your wish and bring it to fruition. Look for evidence of your manifestation. When you find that evidence, express your gratitude. Gratitude signals the universe that you want more of what you just received. Once we have expressed our gratitude, we can take a further step. We can be “gratitude in action” by helping others who might be in a similar situation. We can make a donation of time and/or money. “I’m grateful I can afford food, let me help others afford food too.” Express gratitude for Mother Earth. She provides everything for us: food, air, water. Let’s keep her clean and help her do her job. Have gratitude for pets and all animals. Pets are love made tangible in our lives. [You can make a donation to “Cody’s Friends,” a local charity which provides pet food to the people who need to feed their animals. It’s one of my favorite charities.] Be grateful for friends and family. Celebrate together and enjoy each other’s company. This is a simple one which makes so much difference: be grateful for a good night’s sleep. It sets us up for good days. Remember to be careful when you tell your life story because you reinforce the energies of that story. If you always say, “I’m down and depressed,” you are going to remain down and depressed. One way to get out of that is to change your thought process. Say, “Today is a wonderful day.” As you change your story, each day improves. One psychic shared: “I focus on gratitude and appreciation. I am so connected with nature and animals that I enjoy the sunrise and sunset. The perfect temperature makes me want to get out there and enjoy it. I appreciate the beauty. I was riding in the moonlight last night and appreciating the beautiful sight of the moonlight between my horse’s ears. I get joy out of so many little things, then that builds. They are simple things. They don’t have to be complicated. She channeled one of my favorite quotes, “Live your life in joy and love and gratitude. It may sound simple and it really is. Humanity makes it complicated, and there is no need. Love each other. Live in peace.” In another session, she expanded: “Experience this beautiful place, realizing the beauty; the things to do, to experience, to feel, to sense with this physical body. Use all your senses. Know that you are tuned into this unending energy. There’s no shortage. You have all the energy to do anything you want at any time. It’s all up to you. “You are beautiful beings of light, floating around the universe, spreading love, and enjoying the excitement of all the things you wish to do. Nothing holds you back. Let go of the old. Allow the truth of your inner being to come out. Be at peace. There is nothing you have to do. No place you have to be. Just be who you are. “Be present in this time and place. Be the beautiful creator that you are, manifesting your wildest dreams. What a beautiful thing that is.” Gratitude and choosing to be happy regardless of the situation, is mastery. What we focus on, expands. When we see the small things for which we are grateful, we begin to see more and more things to be grateful for. It’s a way of life. I am very grateful to have this metaphysical window which helps me see how life works. Happy Thanksgiving Week. Gail gail@MyPsychicSearch.com The last few months have been full of political rhetoric and much negativity. It’s (nearly) over. Take a breath. Into the mix in our minds, we are beginning to see the light of the upcoming holidays. Like fresh air, holiday joy can clear our minds of political negativity and shift our focus to optimism and happy anticipation. Working with our ability to re-focus, let’s think about something uplifting. Listen to this message which came through a psychic who I don’t know (but that’s another story). She said: “You are one thing: divine. Unique, special, incredible. Live this and know this; bring about that truth in this Earthly realm. Know that you are a being of incredible energy. Energy vibrates at a certain frequency. The higher you meditate, gravitate toward the light, the more you believe in yourself, the better your life becomes, and the energy that you have in this life.” “Live in the lower energies of false beliefs and you will be shackled to those beliefs. Live in the highest level of truth, honor and integrity, and you will be unshackled from the cross. You will be able to see and resurrect yourself into the purity of your life.” “You are multi-dimensional beings, sitting in the heaven world, sitting on Earth, maybe even enjoying parallel lives.” “As we live our lives with compassion, dedication, sincerity, truth, honor and integrity, we’re living the energy of divine Source. We are living the energy of pure holiness, divine grace.” I try to remember who we are and that we can bring light and joy to this world. Personally, I look forward to this season. Of course, if the impending holidays fill you with more stress than joy, remember another part of the channeling: “Each person who has passed through our lives has left an imprinted message. We take those messages deep within our consciousness and we evaluate, ‘Is this something which is going to help me grow?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Is this something which is going to help me change?’ ‘Yes.’ Every one who has passed through has left a part of themselves, their belief systems. If you don’t like who is around you, walk out and move on.” “Whatever has transpired in your life was a message for you to look at and to move beyond.” “I say to you, ‘Change the bound around.’" Lately, I’ve been thinking about success and what it means in the different facets of my life. I know there are areas where I am blissfully successful and areas which have not been so rewarding. I ponder those words, “Change the bound around.” I love that. Enjoy your week. Gail gail@MyPsychicSearch.com This is a favorite time of year for many people. Early in November, we begin to anticipate the joy of the holidays, but the time crunch has not yet begun. We ponder the gifts we might select for others. We wonder where we might travel. We make our lists. Our minds are open to possibilities. We hope to match the perfect gift to the perfect person. Suddenly, we have a great idea. Maybe we are inspired?
I was at the SAAG Gallery at La Encantada yesterday. One of the artists told me that she often begins a piece with an idea of what it will become. However, as she forms the sculpture, her thoughts change. It’s as if something is guiding the piece’s creation. Is it a muse? Is the clay talking to her? Are these her own thoughts? Where does her inspiration come from? I’ve spoken with authors who tell me that they don’t write their books’ plots. They just watch the characters in their mind and listen to what the characters say. The author writes this information down and discovers the plot as the characters reveal it to her. After that first rough draft, the author’s writing, refining, and editing skills kick in to produce a story worth reading. Where are those imaginary characters located? How are their antics entering the author’s mind? Some psychics have explained that inspiration is the result of a line of connection between a person’s mind and their Spirit Guides, angels, and Higher Self. The ideas come from the Great Unknown and seep into the person’s mind. In my case, “Necessity is the mother of invention.” I see a need for something and I find a solution. After my in-laws received beautiful, heartwarming greeting cards for their 50th anniversary, I developed a way to display those cards so they could be enjoyed for weeks without becoming clutter. “Card Carousels” were born. When I tired of tearing beautiful wrapping paper by closing the rolls with tape, I invented “Gift Wrap Wrap” made of ribbon to keep the wrapping paper rolls neat. My newest artistic endeavor is a tray which goes under a Hannuka Menorah to catch the candle drips. These trays are practical, yet fun, because I paint them in holiday colors and desert themes. Where does the inspiration come in? When I lay down and think about the trays, my mind entertains different designs. Then, “Aha,” I have a great idea. I feel like I am working with the Universe to develop designs which elevate a white tray to a piece of happy art. If you are interested, you can check out the Hannuka Menorah Candle Drip Trays at SAAG’s Gallery in the La Encantada shopping center at Skyline and Campbell. There, you will also find my Christmas stocking ornaments, my Tucson saguaro ornaments, my “Wild Girls!” and my book, “My Psychic Search,” along with art and gifts from 96 other southern Arizona artists. This blog post began as a piece on inspiration, then turned into a piece on art. Let’s get back to inspiration. Tell me how inspiration comes to you. Do you hear it? See it? Feel It? Or are you “just a creative person”? Gail gail@MyPsychicSearch.com |
